Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer, Associate or Mid-Career for the ESG team at Kennedy Space Center, FL. This onsite role focuses on manufacturing operations, data analysis and process improvement in a fast-paced environment dedicated to space systems.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering and can work 2nd or split shifts, with eligibility for U.S. security clearance. The position supports Lean initiatives and complex project management within ESG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field (or non-US equivalent).
• Level 2: Typically, 2+ years of related work experience.
• Ability to work 2nd or split shift.

Responsibilities

• Applies Industrial Engineering concepts to promote changes in manufacturing, engineering and service operations.
• Develops and maintains complex factory definitions for manufacturing planning.
• Analyzes data using models, statistics and engineering economics to provide summary analyses for customers.
• Applies IE techniques to product/ process design across lifecycle to meet program requirements.
• Leads in research and implementation of processes to improve schedule performance, lower cost and improve quality.
• Manages scope, cost and timing of projects with risk analysis and project management tools.
• Provides support to project completion.
• Uses mathematical models, simulation, statistics to design optimal processes and resource utilization.
• Analyzes value stream, capacity, throughput and logistics for program goals.
• Partners with other organizations to refine program goals and data requirements.
