Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Manager of Systems Engineering to lead a high‑performing team responsible for requirements management, CONOPS, verification planning, and risk assessment across space vehicle and payload programs.

You will drive process development, mentor engineers, and coordinate with BD, design, and PM to ensure technically sound architectures and on‑time delivery while maintaining a strong customer interface and supporting program objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in engineering field.
• 11+ years of experience in space communications.
• 6+ years in technical lead / people management roles.
• Experience with satellite-communications standards (NR NTN, DVB‑S2x, CCSDS).
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Ability to define work direction, track milestones, and manage large projects.
• Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. government security clearance.

• Develop methodology and baseline set of technical documents for programs.
