Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking interns in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering for the Space Systems Sector, located in Wallop, VA. You will engage in hands-on work across electrical/mechanical disciplines, supporting engineering drawings, testing, and data reporting.

Ideal candidates are full-time students in STEM, with a 3.0+ GPA, available for 10 weeks in summer 2027, and able to obtain U.S. government clearance.

Qualifications

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and will be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
• Major in a STEM Degree or related.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher (transcripts uploaded at application).
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in Electrical and Mechanical areas.
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment and circuits.
• Works from engineering drawings and instructions; operates related equipment; reports data.
• Performs calibration/alignments and makes adjustments as directed; prepares compounds/solutions.
