SAIC in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to provide onsite SE and technical advisory services for a National Reconnaissance Office program.

The role coordinates across engineering divisions to support satellite system development, acquisition, and lifecycle oversight in a government/contractor team environment.

Candidates must have TS/SCI clearance with poly and extensive experience in systems engineering, satellite systems, and radar payload design and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 9+ years experience; Master's 7+ years; PhD/JD 4+ years.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly is required.
• Experience in systems integration and systems engineering.
• Experience using SE processes, methods, and tools for satellite systems.
• Experience with space radar payload design, development, manufacturing, and testing.
• Experience with radar system design, operations, and data processing.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain system-level requirements and design features.
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work status to government/industry.
• Support lifecycle engineering reviews to ensure specifications are met.
• Review CDRL deliverables for content and technical accuracy.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings between developers and contractors.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and review technical reports and plans.
• Oversee configuration management of program documentation.
• Serve as SE liaison to other SPO divisions.
