Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Satellite Subsystem Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA to lead design, integration, and testing of satellite subsystems across lifecycles.

You will work with Government Program Office and Developer teams to accelerate delivery, oversee test campaigns, and ensure requirements are met for DoD/IC programs. A TS/SCI clearance is required, with on-site responsibilities at Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Expertise in spacecraft design and engineering.
• Hands-on pre-launch integration testing experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years or Master's with 7+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Government Program Office’s focal point for satellite subsystem development and operations.
• Participate in Developer-led IPTs and system milestones to improve performance and delivery timelines.
• Partner with Developer engineers to establish data-sharing and win-win collaboration.
• Represent the Government to oversee test campaigns and validate requirements.
• Liaise with SETA SMEs to analyze designs, test results, and telemetry.
• Convey how subsystem developments satisfy mission requirements and schedules.
• Proactively report risks impacting mission performance and launch schedules.
• Track and report subsystem progress in weekly meetings at various levels.
• Opportunity to grow into a mission-critical Government flight system lead.
