Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 3 or 4 to join our team in Dulles, Virginia. You will lead end-to-end integration of space vehicles onto launch vehicles and coordinate base processing, with a primary technical interface role to launch partners.

The role requires a strong background in space systems, launch operations, and safety documentation; Top Secret clearance is required. Collaborative, cross‑functional work and frequent travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 5+ years engineering experience for level 3.
• STEM degree with 8+ years engineering experience for level 4.
• Experience with space systems, launch vehicles, payloads or ground systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead space vehicle integration with Launch Service providers.
• Plan and execute launch lifecycle from studies to day-of-launch.
• Manage launch site operations and logistics with stakeholders.
• Prepare and review launch safety documentation.
• Identify and mitigate spacecraft hazards per MIL-STD-882.
• Coordinate range operations and required range products.
• Support mission reviews, schedule development, and status reporting.
• Develop interface definitions and requirements documentation.
• Deliver material for Launch Readiness Reviews and closure actions.
