Job summary

Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to help develop spacecraft hardware and systems across a full engineering lifecycle, from concept to production.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to design, analyze, prototype, test, and qualify thermal and structural components for space missions. Join a growing space systems capability and contribute to programs ranging from one-of-a-kind missions to higher-volume production.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD, FEA, and CFD tools.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Person per ITAR restrictions preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks or CFD/FEA tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Innovative concept generation and initial product design.
• CAD modeling using SolidWorks and 3-D drawings.
• CFD/FEA analysis and hand-calculation analysis.
• Design review documentation and FMEA development.
• Develop fabrication procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians across disciplines.
• Support program schedules and budgets.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Support business development and marketing activities as needed.
