Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, based in Dulles, VA, is seeking a Systems Engineer for fault management and system autonomy within a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on requirements synthesis, system analysis, verification planning, and coordinating design efforts across engineering groups to ensure mission readiness.

The candidate will contribute to integration, testing, and operational readiness of spacecraft, with emphasis on flight software and mission operations.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in a technical field with 2+ years of experience for, or a higher degree for advanced roles.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required at time of application.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering for mission critical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform traditional Systems Engineering functions including requirements synthesis, flow-down, verification/validation planning, system trades study support, systems analysis, and management of budgets and interface definitions.
  • Design, implement, and validate Fault Management and System Autonomy flight software using flight-like simulations and hardware.
  • Coordinate with program, functional and customer leadership to deliver SE products and reports.
