Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Fault Management Systems Engineer – Level 3 or 4 to join our Space Systems Sector. The role involves defining, testing, and executing AFM architectures and test plans, with primary responsibilities spanning design, verification, and anomaly resolution across flight software and test beds.

The position requires active SCI access and/or Top Secret clearance, with relocation assistance possibly available and travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support Autonomy and Fault Management (AFM) development
• Support Fault and Autonomy onboard response development
• Develop & execute per the development process for Stored Command Sequences
• Support development of payload fault management architecture
• Support verification and validation tests for software simulators and test beds
• Execute AFM tests, review results and generate verification reports
• Experience with AFM tests in Flight Software, Space Vehicle Test Bed, and Assembly Integration & Test environments
