Job summary

KBR’s Space Systems team is seeking Space Systems Engineers to join the SSC Hemisphere program. You will lead concept development, requirements engineering, and oversee integration of space, ground, and C2 elements to enable on-orbit operations.

You will work with government leadership to ensure timely, compliant delivery of complex defense space solutions. The role requires a Top Secret clearance, a BS in a related field, and 5–10 years of experience depending on level, with knowledge across

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance or SCI eligible.
• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, physics, math, data science, systems engineering or aerospace engineering or space physics.
• Minimum 5 years for mid-level and 10 years for senior positions.
• Expertise in requirements development and system engineering lifecycle for DoD space programs.
• Knowledge of spacecraft bus, payloads, orbitology, navigation, and C2 concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical concept development, requirements development, systems engineering for space systems (space, ground, and C2).
• Oversee integration of space systems and collaboration with government partners.
• Perform system integration across multiple efforts to deploy on-orbit space assets.
• Communicate with mission partners on interface control documents and reviews.
• Oversee verification/validation processes and DR board activities.
• Provide risk assessments and actionable recommendations to Chief Engineer/PM.
• Collaborate with government program offices, FFRDC, SETA, and contractors.
