Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) in Utah is seeking an Electrical Engineering Assistant to join our Strategic Military Space Division. You will work with world-class engineers to develop, assemble, and test mission hardware while gaining real-world experience during your studies.

As a student employee, you will support reviews, deliveries, and integration, with mentorship to own tasks and contribute to national security missions.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Must be currently enrolled at Utah State University majoring in Electrical Engineering.
• Must have at least one year of school remaining.
• Must be able to work 15–20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during breaks with reliable scheduling.
• Must be able to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside engineers developing, assembling, and testing mission hardware.
• Support project reviews, deliveries, and integration; potential path to full‑time employment after graduation.
• Own assigned responsibilities with mentorship and accountability.
