Job summary

SMX in Boulder, CO is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join on-site five days a week. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, orchestrate deployments, and ensure secure, compliant operations across dev, test, and production environments.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of hands-on Bash/Python, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes experience, plus active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship. The salary range is $145,000–$160,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Active Interim DoD Secret clearance; US citizenship and background check required.
• 5+ years of hands-on Bash and Python scripting.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, container pipelines, and artifact management.
• Experience with Docker containers and orchestration.
• Ability to create tests for multi-language environments.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate deployments to dev/test/operational environments.
• Execute software release process including branching and versioning.
• Create and improve CI pipelines; monitor performance.
• Manage version promotion within CI pipelines.
• Integrate CI with tools for artifact management and quality assessment.
• Enable Continuous Delivery and deploy to orchestrated environments.
• Manage multi-application deployment into orchestrated frameworks.
• Troubleshoot deployments in dev and production.
• Maintain Helm charts and cybersecurity protocols.
