Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Utah is seeking an Associate and/or Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Safety & Mission Assurance team. The role focuses on developing, establishing, and maintaining quality policies and plans for manufactured tooling and inspection activities across Promontory, Clearfield, Salt Lake City, or Magna sites.

The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's in mechanical/chemical/aerospace engineering, ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualificações

• Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering (other technical degrees may be considered).
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
• Proven technical aptitude and ability to problem solve complex technical issues.
• Proven ability to multi-task (i.e. manage several projects at one time).
• Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal).
• Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Be majoring in or having majored in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (other technical degrees may be considered).
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

• Proven ability to multi-task (i.e. manage several projects at one time).
• Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal).
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
• Experience working with energetic materials and processes
• Experience writing shop planning
• Interpreting blue prints and specifications
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
• Process Controls (SPC)

Responsabilidades

• Conduct source inspections at vendor sites ensuring quality and technical standards are met before authorizing shipment.
• Understand the tool design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections.
• Provide quality guidance in Tooling design reviews to ensure quality requirements and policies are being captured in the design phase
• Author initial inspection plans for new tooling and periodic/recycle inspection plans
• Essure compliance and will serve as liaison between the S&MA organization and various other organizations including some government agencies.
• Work directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing.
