Job summary

Sigmatech Inc in Colorado Springs seeks two highly-qualified individuals to convert Space 300 Curriculum into an Unclassified, Allies and Partner focused course for mobile delivery.

The successful candidates will have extensive DoW Space experience, including instructional and curriculum design, and will work with the customer, ISD, contract leadership and other stakeholders to determine the appropriate curriculum and deliver a new course per customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or equivalent Joint Service or civilian course/degree.
• Experience with DoW training/education, including planning, developing, and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model.
• Familiarity with USSF organizations, Guardian development and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Convert Space 300 Curriculum into an Unclassified, Allies and Partner focused course for mobile delivery.
• Collaborate with customer, ISD, contract leadership and stakeholders to determine appropriate curriculum.
• Conduct independent research on international policy and doctrine to design a new course.
• Deliver the course IAW customer specifications.
• One-year contingent assignment with funding expected soon.

Sigmatech is seeking two highly-qualified individuals to convert existing Space 300 Curriculum into an Unclassifed, Allies and Partner focused course suitable for Mobile delivery. The successful candidate will have extensive DoW Space experience to include instructional and curriculum design experience. The candidates will be expected to work with the customer, ISD, contract leadership and other stakeholders to determine which current curriculum is appropriate for the new course, conduct independant research on other international policy, doctrine and strategy and design and deliver a new course IAW customer specifications. The current course description follows:

SP300 is a capstone course for space professional education. It prepares space professionals who understand national and international policy considerations and strategic thought within the international geopolitical environment. Students will critically and creatively analyze and assess existing space related policies, strategies, and capability gaps, and devise recommended solutions (material and non-material) to close those gaps at the strategic level, considering the range of national power instruments. In addition, students will be asked to consider space power's strategic contributions to national security, and to participate in discussions regarding the role of space in achieving national interests.

This is a one-year effort with no guaranteed follow on of employment once the task is complete. This is technically a contingent position (upon funding) with official tasking and funding expected shortly.

Experience and Skills

• Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or equivalent Joint Service or civilian course/degree
• Experience with DoW training/education, including planning, developing, and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model, training records keeping and documentation.
  • Familiarity with USSF organizations, Guardian development and strategic direction

Required Education

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in relevant field (8 years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted for the education requirement)

* 3 years of experience in curriculum/lesson development and instruction.

* 3+ years of experience planning in joint and/or international environments.

* 8+ years of experience in relevant field

* Past military active-duty and/or federal government civil-servant experience.

* Past professional experience in space programs and operations (satellite operations, launch, etc.)

* Active TS/SCI

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the salary for this position is $150,000 – $165,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
