  • 4+ years of professional instruction experience.

  • Ability to work full-time on-site at Schriever Space Force Base.

Job description

Sigmatech is seeking an experienced Tactical Space Intelligence Instructor / SME to serve as a lead instructor and curriculum developer to support the United States Space Force's Mission Delta (MD) 9 training team at Schriever SFB, CO. The instructor will develop the inaugural 97 Tactical Intelligence Squadron's (TIS) Initial Intel Qualification Course. The successful candidate will also facilitate classroom instruction, practical exercises, and student assessments while supporting course preparation, curriculum development, and courseware maintenance. Instruction will focus on tactical space intelligence support to orbital warfare, structured analytic techniques, operational tradecraft, mission planning, and classified space intelligence operations to ensure students are prepared to support current and emerging mission requirements.

  • Lead course development, updates, and primary instruction for 97 TIS foundational intelligence training.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert, ensuring curriculum accuracy, relevancy, and alignment with evolving MD 9 Orbital Warfare support requirements.
  • Train students in the fundamentals of identifying threats, analyzing, and applying intelligence techniques and tradecraft using real-world operational scenarios.
  • Maintain close coordination with M9 mission partners and operators to ensure training reflects current operational needs.
  • Facilitate classroom instruction, practical exercises, scenario-based learning, student assessments, and after-action reviews in a classified training environment.
  • Instruct students on core intelligence fundamentals, space threat integration, critical thinking, operational tradecraft, mission planning in support of orbital warfare,, and space operations.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Programs of Instruction (POIs), lesson plans, practical exercises, assessments, student materials, and courseware.
  • Support curriculum updates to ensure training materials remain aligned with current doctrine, threat assessments, and mission requirements.
  • Coordinate with instructors, Government stakeholders, and program leadership to ensure successful planning and execution of training events.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating student feedback, after-action reviews, and operational lessons learned into course content and delivery.
Experience and Skills
  • Active TS/SCI clearance at time of application
  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years of experience in military intelligence, Space Domain Awareness(SDA) and direct support to space operations.
  • 4+ years of professional instruction experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage in a diverse customer set. Experience supporting Department of War (DoW), Department of the Air Force (DAF), Intelligence Community (IC), space operations, intelligence training, analytic tradecraft, and threat support
  • Experience delivering instructor-led training, operational instruction, or courseware in a classified DoW or Intelligence Community environment
  • Experience developing or maintaining Programs of Instruction (POI), lesson plans, practical exercises, assessments, and instructional courseware
  • Experience teaching intelligence fundamentals, structured analytic techniques, space threat systems, or related intelligence disciplines
  • Ability to facilitate classroom discussions, practical exercises, student evaluations, and after-action reviews
  • Familiarity with DAFH 36-2675, instructional systems design (ISD), ADDIE methodology, or formal military instructor certification programs
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Space Force (USSF), U.S. Air Force (USAF), Combat Forces Command (CFC) MD 9 or other classified space intelligence organizations
  • Knowledge of space operations, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), adversary counterspace capabilities and classified space intelligence training environments
  • Ability to work full-time on-site at Schriever Space Force Base

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
