Job summary

Omitron, Inc. is seeking an SSA Engineer for our Vandenberg SFB, CA location to support space situational awareness, orbital analysis, and satellite conjunction assessment.

The role involves solving orbital mechanics problems, processing data for orbit states and predictions, and coordinating across teams to deliver customer-focused situational awareness. Some after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• 2+ years in space-related SSA, catalog maintenance, orbital analysis, and collision avoidance.
• Experience with real-time analysis of technical and operational problems.
• Knowledge of orbital mechanics and astrodynamics.
• Familiarity with Linux-based OS (Red Hat/Fedora) and Space Force ASW tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise to solve operational orbital mechanics problems and process data for orbit states and predictions.
• Coordinate and integrate information across functions to deliver products enabling situational awareness and decisions.
• Potential to broaden into conjunction assessment and proximity operations tasks.
• Crew work with outside normal business hours as required.
