Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO is seeking a Software Engineering Project Manager to serve as Deputy Lead for an Integrated Product Team (IPT). You will blend project management with engineering know‑how to drive multi‑discipline programs from concept through production.

The role emphasizes directing software development, schedule baselines, risk management, and staffing across IPTs while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Flight software or embedded software experience for satellite or product development programs.
• Experience as Product Owner and/or software lead.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in an Agile software program with PI Planning, Scrum, and Sprint Planning across multiple software components/teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive software development and integration of flight software, ensuring technical, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Own the integrated software program plan, baseline IPT-wide schedule, cost baseline, and performance targets; track earned value, forecast variances, and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other Program IPTs and align milestone dates, data-exchange interfaces, and resource commitments across the full program architecture.
• Work with software leadership to establish demand for program efforts and staff accordingly.
• Conduct trade studies, risk analyses, and mitigation planning to protect schedule and budget.
