Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks engineers to design, develop, and deploy software in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. You will work on space system software, emphasizing robust, scalable solutions with modern tooling and agile practices.

As part of a Scrum team, you will help deliver mission-capable software securely and continuously, leveraging GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher to streamline development and operations across programs.

Qualifications

• Software development with object-oriented languages (Java, JavaScript).
• Experience developing with CI/CD build tools (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Experience on large-scale software projects with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with software test practices (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• US Citizenship Required: No clearance required to start but must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Responsibilities

• Generating and simulating operational level plans for space defense concepts.
• Dynamically optimizing terrestrial and space-based sensors for space domain awareness.
• Strategically optimizing placement and maneuvering of satellite constellations to meet evolving priorities
