Job summary

Actalent is seeking an RF Systems Engineer to design, analyze and develop next‑generation spacecraft RF systems for civil and national security missions, spanning space and ground segments.

The role involves end‑to‑end system design, modeling and simulation, trade studies, and technical leadership across the mission lifecycle from concept through launch. Onsite in Laurel, MD with Security Facility work environment and mission‑driven requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with RF systems engineering and RF communications.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or obtainable.
• Hands-on with SDR systems.
• EW, PNT, and radar concepts familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze RF and satellite comms for space and ground segments.
• Model and simulate RF, communications, and EW systems.
• Conduct trade studies for antennas, amplifiers, and RF circuits.
• Collaborate with mission and spacecraft engineers across lifecycle.
• Develop requirements and support reviews for RF systems.
• Lead teams through RF development, testing, and flight integration.
• Support sponsor engagements with technical presentations and status updates.
• Apply EW, SIGINT, timing, and radar concepts to RF solutions.
