Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking Summer 2027 interns to design and build RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite communication systems. You will work closely with engineers on product development, schematic design, test, and manufacturing across various focus areas.

Interns regularly present their work to peers, mentors, and executive leadership, so strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Onsite at CesiumAstro facilities in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Advanced RF & microwave engineering coursework.
• Upper-level electromagnetics coursework.
• Hands-on electronics hardware design experience.
• Lab instrumentation: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite systems.
• Collaborate with CesiumAstro engineers on development, schematics, testing, and manufacturing.
• Interns present their work to peers, mentors, and leadership throughout the summer.
