Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II – Assembly & Integration to improve manufacturing processes, support design-for-manufacture, and lead factory setup and optimization. You will troubleshoot production issues, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive continual process improvements for efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or similar.
• 2+ years of technical experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Process Engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience solving problems in complex manufacturing systems.
• Ability to effectively deliver on complex assignments with autonomy.
• Foundational knowledge in complex manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility studies and manufacturing technology R&D projects.
• Partner with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and robustness at scale.
• Engineer and deliver factories – design, procure, install, validate assembly, test, and verification processes.
• Support development builds to accelerate production ramp-up and resolve issues.
• Own production lines to remove blockers and improve yield and build efficiency.
• Triage failures, perform root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
