You will support the analysis, design, and verification of spacecraft systems to ensure survivability in the harsh radiation and space environments encountered throughout mission life. This mid-level role builds on foundational experience and emphasizes ownership of radiation effects analysis and hardware survivability tasks, collaborating with systems engineers and hardware designers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field as listed.
• 3-5 years of space radiation experience.
• Proficiency with radiation environments and effects on electronics.
• Experience with radiation analysis tools such as FASTRAD or CREME96.
• Knowledge of radiation hardness assurance for EEE parts.

Responsibilities

• Define radiation environments for various orbits and mission profiles.
• Perform TID, DDD, and SEE analyses on components.
• Support shielding analyses and mass trade studies.
• Evaluate EEE parts radiation hardness and mitigation options.
• Contribute to design reviews and generate analysis docs.
• Prepare test planning for radiation qualification.
• Interface with customers and government on requirements.
