E-Space, based in Saratoga, California, seeks a senior radar systems engineer to design and simulate advanced radar processing for LEO platforms. You will model waveform chains, Doppler processing, and target detection in MATLAB, collaborating with hardware and software teams to integrate modules into payloads.

The role emphasizes strong analytics, experience with phased-array radar and classifier techniques; a Master’s/Ph.D. in EE/CE is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in radar simulation or closely related field.
  • Strong foundation in digital signal processing, radar theory (range-Doppler, pulse compression), and target detection methodologies.
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent environments.
  • Experience with radar systems design, performance analysis, and field testing.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills—team collaborator who can work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement mathematical models of radar signal processing chains for phased arrays.
  • Simulate radar waveform generation, echo processing, clutter mitigation, and target detection under diverse environmental and operational scenarios.
  • Use MATLAB to simulate advanced algorithms for radar waveforms, pulse compression, Doppler processing, clutter suppression, and target classification.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of signal processing modules into radar payloads.
  • Document design procedures, simulation outcomes, test results, and performance metrics.
