Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an RF Engineer I/II to support radar and RF systems development for space-based applications from Long Beach, CA. You will work with SAR and space-based radar technologies, perform simulations, and help integrate radar payloads in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires foundational radar knowledge, MATLAB/Python skills, and eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Foundational radar systems knowledge and basic signal processing.
• Exposure to SAR or space-based radar preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop radar system architecture and prototyping for flight development.
• Conduct radar link budgets and performance modeling.
• Run radar simulations using MATLAB or Python.
• Support radar design trades and RF component selection.
• Prepare test plans and procedures for radar payload testing.
• Document test results and ICDs.
