Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an RF Engineer I/II to support the development of radar and RF systems for space-based missions from Long Beach, CA. You will work with senior engineers on radar subsystems, simulations, and hands-on testing in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a foundational radar background, MATLAB/Python proficiency, and an interest in orbital mechanics and spacecraft integration. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of radar systems, equations, and signal processing.
• Exposure to SAR or space-based radar is a plus.
• Understanding of orbital mechanics and spacecraft subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Support design and testing of space-based radar systems and subsystems.
• Assist in link budgets, performance modeling, and orbital considerations.
• Run simulations in MATLAB/Python and analyze radar data
• Collaborate across RF, digital, systems, and spacecraft teams
