Job summary

Benchmark Space Systems is seeking a Test Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027 at our Burlington, VT site. You will collaborate with engineers and chemists to test propulsion technologies for small satellites, gain exposure to industry best practices, and document results using engineering software.

Responsibilities include designing and reviewing test plans, fixtures, and schedules, while communicating status and opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing aerospace/mechanical engineering or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills expected.
• Attention to detail and organized documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and review test plans and procedures.
• Create, modify, and review test fixtures and test stand designs.
• Create and manage assembly and testing schedule.
• Identify opportunities to improve test processes for efficiency and quality.
• Document test results, redlines, and test reports.
