Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) seeks a Propulsion Test Engineer to support design, test operations, and data review for propulsion and structural testing on space flight hardware at Marshall Space Flight Center. You'll prepare test designs and procedures for cryogenic and ambient propellants, and contribute to safety and certification trainings.

Ideal candidates have an engineering background with 0–5 years' experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with standard

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field, ABET accredited preferred.
• Typically, BS with 0–5 years of experience.
• Experience with propulsion test systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with civil servants and contractors to design, develop, setup, and perform propulsion and structural testing on space flight qualification hardware and other critical hardware.
• Participate in safety meetings, task reviews, and design/test readiness reviews.
• Develop and deliver reports and presentations using PowerPoint and other tools to support requirements.
• Perform safety and certification training to support ASED and customer requirements.
