Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, Colorado, is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate planning, scope, and execution of engineering projects within the LE2 Systems Engineering Directorate. You will oversee detailed scope, ensure design compliance, and manage EVMS to forecast completion.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, possess EVMS experience, and be a US citizen eligible for Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of project management and/or earned value management
• Experience with planning tools including Microsoft Project
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Familiarity with data analysis, metrics collection, and reporting
• Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within the LE2 Systems Engineering Directorate.
• Plans and oversees detailed engineering scope; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
• Manages all Earned Value Management controls to ensure timely execution, updated status and continued forecasts to completion.
• Statuses project scope and progress to program management, customer stakeholders and external/internal reviewers.
