Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Service Desk Systems Administrator to support NASA's Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract, located at the NASA White Sands Complex in Las Cruces, NM. You will install, configure, and maintain Windows, Linux, and macOS systems, manage AD and user permissions, and assist with security and backup tasks.

The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, or macOS operating systems.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• System maintenance: install, configure, and maintain operating systems and perform updates and patches.
• User account management: create/modify accounts, permissions, and access levels.
• Network & security support: monitor performance, troubleshoot DNS/DHCP/VPN, and enforce security policies.
• Backup & recovery: assist with data backup and recovery processes and monitor logs.
• Documentation: maintain documentation and support knowledge base improvements.
• Technical support: provide first-level IT support and escalate to senior staff as needed.
• Learning: stay updated with technologies and pursue relevant IT certifications.
