Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space GmbH seeks a Product Security Development Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures across satellites and space systems. You will lead risk assessments, implement security controls, and ensure compliance with international standards throughout the product lifecycle.

The role requires experience in aerospace cybersecurity, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English and German.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience in information security or cybersecurity, preferably in aerospace or space industries.
• Solid knowledge of security-by-design, risk assessment, and standards including ISO 27000, ECSS-E-ST-80C, CCSDS 350.xxx and BSI TR-03184.
• Understanding of space missions and their security challenges.
• Fluency in English and German; French a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Security Architecture & Design: Develop security frameworks and architectures for space products.
• Risk & Vulnerability Management: Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigations for product resilience.
• Standard & Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO 27000, ECSS-E-ST-80C, CCSDS 350.xxx and BSI TR-03184.
• Cybersecurity Strategy: Integrate cybersecurity across the product lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Incident Response: Develop and oversee incident response protocols.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Guide engineering teams on product security and governance.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor threats and update security measures accordingly.
