Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Buyer to develop strategic procurement solutions and support day-to-day tactical purchasing for spaceflight systems. You will drive supplier management, cost analysis, and contracting strategies to meet program needs and production schedules.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, compliance with supply chain standards, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Relocation is provided for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or similar education.
• 0-3 years of progressive procurement experience; supplier identification, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and supplier development across multiple products, services, and commodities.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with a broad range of people across, up and down all levels of the organization.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Preferred qualifications include CSCP and PMP certifications.
• Experience in Machined Parts, Raw Material, Electronics, and Outplant Services buying.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program requirements are prioritized and executed to meet Blue Origin needs.
• Be competent in Blue Origin Supply Chain compliance standards, strategies, and initiatives.
• Prepare and issue RFx, perform cost analysis in support of proposals, and lead negotiations.
• Construct contracting types for major procurement activities including LTAs and sourcing partnerships.
• Take ownership of the procurement process from requisition to final payment and resolve issues.
• Lead identification, implementation, negotiation, execution, and management of strategic agreements.
