Job summary

Stellant Systems in Torrance, CA is seeking an EPC Design Engineer to support high voltage PPUs for Xenon ion propulsion and related EPCs for TWTAs. The role focuses on production support, circuit development, and providing electrical design guidance to a multidisciplinary team of engineers.

The position emphasizes hands-on engineering, mentoring junior staff, and collaboration with design, test, and project teams to maintain industry leadership.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree in a related field, EE preferred, with post graduate work a plus.
• Work experience designing and/or testing electronic power conditioners or similar devices, with work in the space industry a massive plus.

Responsibilities

• High voltage power supply circuit design.
• Testing and troubleshooting of circuits / power supplies.
• Guide program management for technical issues and assure successful production.
• Supporting customer meetings, milestones (CDR, PDR, MRR ...), guiding the team through those events.
• Mentor, develop and train junior engineers.
• Actively seek out innovative technologies and oversee new product development to ensure continued industry leadership.
• Support new business activity through proposal review and improvements on current designs
