Job summary

Xona is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our payload hardware team in the United States. You will design, develop, and integrate electrical systems powering the payload and collaborate with engineers across subsystems for integration.

This hands-on role covers electrical design, testing, debugging in the lab, and gaining experience in assembly, integration, and system test processes as we build cutting-edge space technology.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Fundamental understanding of electronics, power systems, layout, and signal integrity.
• Experience with embedded systems and peripheral interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, etc).

Responsibilities

• Develop Flight Hardware: design and develop electrical subsystems, power distribution, and interconnects; test components for space environments.
• Own the Design Cycle: concept to schematic capture and PCB layout; conduct design reviews; develop and execute electrical test plans.
• Be Hands on in the Lab: troubleshoot and debug electrical systems using test equipment.
• Document Your Design: maintain engineering documentation and interface specifications for satellite subsystems.
• Support Integration: assist assembly, integration, and system-level testing and validation.
