Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Space Operations Engineering Intern in Palm Bay, FL to support engineering teams across the lifecycle of space systems. Under close supervision, you will assist with requirements analysis, design support, test planning, and documentation, gaining hands-on experience in applying engineering principles.

You will work with cross-functional teams in systems, software, hardware, and test, prepare technical reports, and participate in space operations command and control

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++ is preferred.
• Exposure to STK or system modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support development of operational analyses and concept of operations documentation.
• Assist with design and implementation planning for system development activities.
• Help develop test plans, procedures and test cases for verification.
• Participate in lab, system, and field testing and document results.
• Use software tools and scripting to support engineering tasks.
• Assist in analyzing system requirements from stakeholders and end users.
• Support development and evaluation of system designs and architectures.
• Prepare presentations and technical reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including systems, software, hardware, and test.
• Participate in Space Operations C2 activities.
