Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Space Operations Senior Analyst to ensure the space planning and visual merchandising platforms run smoothly. You will collaborate across teams to translate business needs into practical system improvements and drive data-driven decisions.

The role is hybrid: on-site at the Richfield, MN corporate office Monday-Thursday, with Friday remote work. You’ll partner with IT, merchandising, and store operations to deliver impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail, merchandising, inventory, space management, or visual merchandising.
• Intermediate proficiency with AutoCAD and Excel.
• Bonus: SQL or other database languages; space management software familiarity.

As a Space Operations Senior Analyst, you'll play a key role in keeping the systems, tools, and processes behind store space planning and visual merchandising running smoothly. You'll work across teams to improve how space, floor plans, and merchandising data are managed, solve complex business challenges, and help shape future system enhancements. If you enjoy turning business needs into practical solutions and partnering with teams across the organization, this is an opportunity to make a broad impact.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What You'll Do

Basic qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, merchandising, inventory management, space management, architectural planning, or visual merchandising.
• Intermediate proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in space management, floor planning, planograms, visual merchandising, retail, or store design.
• Knowledge of SQL or other database languages.
• Intermediate proficiency with Blue Yonder or other space management software.
• Experience with programming languages such as C++ or .NET.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Access.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail, merchandising, inventory, or supply chain.
• Intermediate proficiency with Photoshop.
