Job summary

Observable Space is seeking a Business Operations Manager in Los Angeles to help build planning, measurement, and systems that enable the company to scale. You will partner with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Sales, Managed Services, and Finance to align planning and drive data-driven decisions.

The role reports to the VP of Operations and requires hands-on leadership of forecasting, capacity planning, and the systems roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business operations or related analytical roles.
• Experience supporting hardware/manufacturing environments.
• Strong Excel/Sheets and data modelling skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus (Global Shop Solutions, NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core operational metrics and reporting.
• Create dashboards and executive reports for visibility into performance.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and root causes.
• Evaluate capital investments and equipment through business cases.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Sales, Finance, and Engineering to align planning.
