Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Mission Assurance Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to support spacecraft flight hardware programs. You will implement and enforce mission assurance plans across design, manufacturing, integration and test, interfacing with customers and suppliers to resolve issues.

100% onsite, 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Role requires STEM degree and ability to obtain TOP-SECRET clearance; U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship
Experience working with vendors and working directly with customers.
Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management.
Understanding basic Quality principles such as Corrective Action Implementation, Disposition Implementation (Re-work, Repair, UAI, Scrap), and Process Control.

Responsibilities

Aids in the implementation of an effective Safety and Mission Assurance program in compliance with applicable customer contracts and other guidelines set forth by Flight Systems Group requirements throughout the contract life cycle.
Ensures contractual program requirements are flowed down internally and to suppliers, ensures compliance with customer contract, industry, and organizational requirements.
Maintains close engagement with the Supplier Quality, Software Assurance, Design Assurance, Configuration Management, Product Assurance, and EHS organizations.
