Job summary

Stoke Space in Delaware is seeking a Design Reliability Engineer focused on systems safety to join the Nova launch program. You will define processes and tools to perform FHA, FMECA, FTA, and HAZOP analyses across vehicle stages and subsystems.

You will lead safety analyses with engineers across the Nova team, identify reliability gaps, and communicate results to stakeholders including FAA and Space Force. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in aerospace engineering or similar field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience on a complex product with high reliability.
  • Strong fundamentals in system safety.
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams of engineers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop processes, tools, and templates for FHA, FMECA, FTA, and HAZOP analyses.
  • Lead system safety analyses for the Nova team across vehicle stages and subsystems.
  • Identify problems and propose solutions to improve overall system reliability.
  • Estimate component-level reliability and overall failure modes using FTA/FMECA outputs.
  • Communicate results to internal and external stakeholders including FAA and Space Force.
  • Facilitate cross-disciplinary communication and manage design risks.
