Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal or Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the Space Systems SEIT Engineering Organization in Rolling Meadows, IL. This role focuses on integrating ground software for spacecraft operations, developing test procedures, and training operators to ensure mission readiness.

Basic qualifications include engineering degrees and DoD Top Secret clearance, with strong Python/MATLAB skills and prior end-user engagement experience.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required at time of application and within scope.
• BS and/or MS degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
• Proficiency in analytical data tools and programming languages like Python, MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid integration of complex ground software to prepare for delivery to Spacecraft Operations end user.
• Perform rapid development of procedures and scripts to use the ground software, data inputs, simulators, and hardware in the loop.
• Train ground operators.
• Lead development and SIL checkout of activation procedures.
• Requires excellent interpersonal skills, experience with end user engagement, and comfort briefing technical results to customers.
