Job summary

Exploration Technology Corp is seeking a hands-on Vision Systems Engineer to own the detection, tracking, and discrimination software stack for a space-based IR sensing program supporting national security missions. You will develop the full pipeline from detection to guidance outputs on embedded hardware, in real-time environments.

You will design adaptive detection, multi-target tracking with Kalman filters and data association, and train CNN classifiers for target vs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Software/Electrical/Optical/Aerospace).
• 5+ years of IR sensor systems/space-based imaging experience.
• Advanced degree preferred for senior applicants.

Responsibilities

• Own the detection, tracking, and discrimination software stack for space-based IR sensing program.
• Design and implement the full pipeline from detection through tracking and state estimation.
• Develop and train lightweight CNN classifiers for real-time embedded inference.
• Integrate algorithms into end-to-end IR scene simulation and hardware-in-the-loop validation.
• Collaborate with electronics teams on ROIC interfaces and high-speed data paths.
• Develop real-time image processing pipelines on embedded FPGA and GPU platforms.
• Build radiometric and noise models and create validation plans.
