Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join our Space team in Costa Mesa, CA. You will design, implement, and integrate perception systems for diverse spacecraft projects and work closely with Sensors, GNC, and Avionics teams to deliver robust CV capabilities.

Qualified candidates have advanced ML/CS education and strong C++ Linux experience, plus expertise in CV tasks like object detection, tracking, and SLAM. Security clearance and space-domain knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in machine learning, robotics, computer science, or image science with emphasis on computer vision.
• BS in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Advanced experience benchmarking ML algorithms on large-scale datasets.
• High proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Propose and prototype innovative CV solutions leveraging state-of-the-art techniques.
• Develop and maintain core libraries and runtime applications.
• Integrate classical and geometric CV methods with ML techniques.
• Work on space vehicle CV software and hardware subsystems for various spacecraft efforts.
• Develop software-defined approaches to autonomous spacecraft operations.
• Define automated fault detection and responses; create tests and validation plans.
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
• Coordinate with end-users and customers to turn needs into features.
