Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Development and Fabrication Technician to join the I&T team in Los Alamos, NM. The position will be filled at Technician 3 or 4 level based on candidate skills and may include leading others at the higher level.

You will assemble, test, and fabricate electromechanical components for space and national security applications, interpret drawings, document tests, and work under strict safety and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling electrical and mechanical components.
• Ability to interpret design drawings and perform inspections with tools.
• Develop test procedures and document results.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and modify electrical and mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Procure mechanical fabricated parts and other assembly components.
• Interpret part and assembly drawings and perform inspections with hand tools and CMMs.
• Generate design, assembly, and test documentation and perform in-process inspection.
