Job summary

Northwood Space in the United States is seeking an engineer to build development test systems that ensure hardware reliability from early prototypes through operations. You will own development test, hardware-in-the-loop testbeds, and integration milestones for modem testing, bridging electronics, software, and systems integration.

This hands-on role covers EMI/EMC certification prep, test lab coordination, fixtures and harness design, and CI/CD integration of HITL testbeds.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Hands-on experience in Linux-based environment.
Familiarity with basic computer networking.
Experience with electrical test equipment (power supplies, DC loads, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).

Responsibilities

Lead integrated test development from concept through operations, including test strategy, requirements, and execution plans.
Own the path to certification for EMI/EMC and MIL-STD-461, FCC/CE, including pre-compliance testing and certification documentation.
Design hardware, wiring, and electrical systems to support electrical and RF testing for development and production (fixtures, harnesses, interfaces, rack integration).
Create device and subsystem simulators for hardware-in-the-loop and integrate testbeds into CI/CD pipeline.
Own test maintainability and reliability across the lifecycle, calibrations, upkeep, debugging, and continuous improvement of test assets.
