Job summary

Solestial, Inc. is seeking a Cell Manufacturing Manager to lead the solar cell production team in Tempe, AZ. You will drive daily operations, scheduling, and process improvements to scale from pilot to high-volume manufacturing while ensuring quality and safety.

Your group will range from 3 to 15 engineers and technicians, expanding to 10–50 as automation increases. You will collaborate with process engineers to improve yield, maintain equipment performance, and develop SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or science field with strong technical background.
• 10+ years of proven engineering experience and 3+ years in management.
• Experience in clean room environments and PV processing is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, mentoring, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for solar cell production and meet production goals.
• Schedule and run production lots; drive process improvements for scale-up.
• Manage inventory movement, procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Develop and enforce SOPs; transition processes to high-volume tools.
• Train technicians and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with process engineers on yield and tool integrity.
• Oversee transition to mass production with evolving team size.
