Job summary

Solestial, Inc. is seeking a Process Technician to process ultra-thin solar cells in a controlled R&D to manufacturing environment.

You will safely operate production tools, troubleshoot tool failures, and assist engineers with transferring processes to large-scale manufacturing lines. The role emphasizes monitoring parameters, documenting data, collaborating with engineers, and maintaining safety and clean conditions on site in Tempe, AZ.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associates of Science degree or STEM certification is preferred.
• Ability to work in clean room environment and in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to comply with safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and spend long periods processing production lots.

Responsibilities

• Available to work Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm.
• Operate tools and equipment safely to maintain quality and fulfill orders per direction of supervisor.
• Perform assigned job duties following training and written procedures.
• Interact with equipment to monitor parameters and alarms.
• Characterize partially processed solar cells (e.g., Sinton lifetime, photoluminescence).
• Monitor process data and make decisions to maintain process control; collect data and document work.
• Escalate issues and communicate findings clearly.
• Collaborate with solar cell engineers on problem solving.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow safety requirements.
