Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory in Chantilly, VA seeks a Printed Circuit Board Designer to join our EDA workflow, collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers in the design and manufacture of cutting-edge PCB solutions for space applications. You will design rigid, rigid-flex, and flex boards, review footprints, support DFM with PCB manufacturers, and contribute across board fabrication and assembly phases.

Strong communication and ability to work with minimal supervision are required; U.S.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, certificate, or electronics experience required.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components and their functions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Design class 3 space PCB designs with electrical engineers.
• Create rigid, rigid-flex, and flex boards for high-speed, power, analog, and RF applications.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers for fit, keep-outs, and overall size.
• Participate in all hardware design phases including fabrication and assembly.
• Review footprints and 3D models for correct part fitment.
• Collaborate on stack-ups, power/signal integrity with senior technologists.
• Assist with PWA drawings and DFM discussions with manufacturers.
