Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. in Houston, TX, seeks a Quality Control Technician - Metrology to support the space program. You will program and operate CMMs (PC-DMIS/Calypso) and perform first-article inspections, ensuring dimensional accuracy per drawings and AS9100 standards.

The role requires GD&T proficiency, CMM experience, and strong documentation skills. Onsite work with potential travel, benefits package, and a path to advanced QC responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree or equivalent; experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
• GD&T experience and CMM programming proficiency are essential.
• Proven ability to verify dimensional accuracy per drawings and AS9100.
• Experience with PC-DMIS or Calypso preferred; proficient measurement tooling.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CMM equipment for first-article inspections.
• Verify dimensions of incoming parts and subcontracted products.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators for checks.
• Maintain calibration records and generate inspection reports.
• Identify quality issues and communicate with supervisors promptly.
• Implement improvements to QC processes and support assemblies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
