Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to evaluate and optimize deployment of analytical workflows on spaceflight and other resource-constrained platforms.

You will collaborate with software, data science, and hardware teams to identify performance bottlenecks, develop CPU/FPGA acceleration, and ensure radiation-tolerant, high-reliability operation. Experience with VHDL/Verilog and HLS is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in embedded systems in high-reliability sectors.
• Programming in C/C++ and Python.
• Ability to obtain US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and profile embedded/workflows on onboard architectures.
• Measure performance: throughput, memory, latency, power.
• Develop hardware/software partitioning strategies with FPGA acceleration.
• Collaborate to evaluate model compression, fixed-point, reduced-order methods.
• Assess radiation impacts and mitigation for space platforms.
• Create technical trade studies and roadmaps; support HWIL testing.
• Prepare technical documentation and confidence metrics.
