Job summary

CACI is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to build software for space-based RF platforms. You will develop low-level, performance-critical code across embedded Linux and bare-metal targets, partnering with RF, FPGA, and systems teams from bring-up through delivery. This on-site role is based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of embedded C/C++ experience, Linux familiarity, and strong hardware/software interface skills, driver development, and CI/CD for embedded targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; 3+ years embedded software experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded targets and Linux-based systems.
• Experience with Yocto or similar embedded Linux tooling.
• Strong knowledge of hardware interfaces (GPIO, SPI, I2C, UART, RS-422).
• Ability to collaborate with RF, FPGA, and systems teams and write clear docs.

Responsibilities

• Implement embedded software to meet design constraints and improve architecture.
• Build/extend embedded Linux services and kernel components.
• Support bare-metal/C embedded applications and board bring-up.
• Develop low-level drivers and integrate with FPGA and DSP blocks.
• Contribute to CI/CD for embedded targets and perform testing.
