Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electronic Component Engineer to support NASA GFE flight projects from Houston, TX. You will evaluate EEE parts for space applications, report findings, and recommend replacements while coordinating with the PCB and design teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering and at least five years of related experience, with space/DoD exposure and a willingness to travel. Onsite work with a 9/80 schedule may apply.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Space industry or DoD/DoW experience preferred.
• Experience with design reviews, screening, and derating for space flight.
• NSPAR development and PCB documentation experience is expected.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide EEE parts support for NASA GFE Flight Projects and Programs.
• Evaluate proposed EEE parts lists for hardware criticality and environmental suitability.
• Report part manufacturers, materials, construction, derating, and reliability findings to the PCB.
• Recommend replacement EEE parts when needed.
• Assist in EEE parts failure investigations.
• Review NASA specifications, standards, and studies for NASA applications.
• Support qualification plans, screening, and NSPAR activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
